We proved that a SLE kite can also be a high performance freestyle kite, technical and fast with all the latest features: wide wind range, easy re-launch and more safety in simplicity. After the huge success of the first generation, we bring again new improvements thanks to your feedback. The Furia2 is noticeably more powerful in the low end with increased bar pressure.
In the hands, the Furia is ultra light and responsive. The bar feeling is very direct (C kite like) allowing you to be precise in your flying. And flying is definitely the right expression as the Furia is a really fast kite, allowing you to easily go for big kite loops and big tricks. Jumping ability is excellent with instant punch upwards and a huge amount of lift and hang-time." Takoon Kiteboarding

Furia 2 9m review
Had this little kite for a few months now, sessions in very varied conditions. Better low end than the original Furia and with a more solid frame. Haven't been overpowered on it yet up to 35kts, I'm 90kg on a 133. Looks lower aspect than the Furia 1 but jumps better for some reason (deeper profile of the wing?).
The main initial impression is that the kite is ridiculously fast, and feels light in the air, is satifyingly precise and direct to fly not like the older Novas. This means the kite is absolutley great in waves, also it tolerates being ridden directly towards and being light does mind you flying the kite out of the window when you mess up a trick - it just drifts back towards the power zone- this makes life much less stressful. Jump height is good, hang time medium but landings are soft..... if you redirect properly, otherwise less so!
Flys well unhooked but will need a trim if you are right in the bottom of the wind range or it will backstall. A venturi system might be nice to see on future models? Bar pressure medium, bar is light and nice to hold, can be used on all sizes but I prefer below the bar depower for fast trimming, also needs some red on the bar on the riders side so you can tell which side you're grabbing without looking at the leader line. Excellent upwind, if I can get up and plane, I can stay upwind immeadiately.
Might not satisfy wakestyle/ hangtime fanatics but great allround freestyle and wave kite.

9m review We have used the 9m for our kitesurfing lessons for most of the 2009 summer season. It is a very light kite and flyies very well right away even in the lightest winds. Nice smooth depower and very easy re-launch, many of the sutdents have commented about how thye have enjoyed this kite to learn on. Great kite for beginner or intermedaite but it is aimed at advanced riders, it is not an advanced kite. It is poor when unhooked and the pop is not good at all. Not bad at boosting but the feedback is poor through the bar so hard to feel where it is. Not a looping kite at all, not particularly fast through the sky and does not pull in the loop at all. Overall, great for beginners and intermediate free riders but definately not good for advanced freestyle riders |
