Here is what our riders had to say after riding the 2010 Naish Cult:

“The 2010 Naish Cult is an evolution of a great product with some solid improvements. The most notable change is on the bridle of the kite. Working off of the proven 2009 Helix, the 2010 Cult has a direct connection bridle on the trailing edge and a very compact bridle on the leading edge. This makes the kite have a more positive feel in your hands. The canopy shape has been changed slightly to have more arc and a little lower aspect ratio.

Translation!: The 2010 Cult has as much wind range as any kite out there, is much more reliable for water relaunch, and has a pro level feel packaged within a very user-friendly kite.

The 2010 Naish SLE Control Bar: The best adjustable bar on the market is back with a tuned up, through the bar, safety system. This makes it a lot more safe and very low chance of tangles when you release the safety.” – Matt Nuzzo REAL Co-Founder

“The Naish Sigma Design Concept continues to progress and get cleaner and more refined every year. These kites have made huge leaps forward every year and 2010 Naish Cult is no exception. As soon as the 2010 Cult 9m went into the air, I caught it out of the corner of my eye and it was clearly evident that 2010 was in full effect! After riding the kite, I found it to have a lot of the characteristics of the 2009 Helix with respect to direct steering, but even more user friendly than the 2009 Cult. This kite is going to continue the trend of the Naish Sigmas being one of REAL’s most popular clients with riders of all abilities.” – Trip Forman REAL Co-Founder

“I was really impressed with the 2010 Naish Cult. Typically, there is a trade off in kites between grunty pull and responsive steering, but the new Cult delivers both. Even in high winds, the 7.5m felt stable in the sky, offering smooth, consistent power delivery and the ability to turn the kite on a dime. Its closest parallel in my opinion is the Slingshot RPM, so all of the fans of that kite should love this one. Naish has stepped it up for 2010!” – Chris Lazinski REAL Kiteboarding Coach

“Riding the 2010 Cult 10.5m in slightly underpowered conditions in the The Slick was a great introduction to Naish’s Sigma kites. Having never ridden one of these kites, the 2010 Cult was put into my hands by Matt Nuzzo,…”Try this !” My favorite kites of all time are usually in the 9-10.5m range, so I was very excited to ride Sam Bell’s new 2010 10.5m Cult!!

If I remember correctly, the wind was hovering in the 18mph range with some gusts well into the 20’s. Once I dove the kite and got underway the pull of the kite became apparent and riding upwind to The Slick was an easy one-two-tack. Cruising with the kite was very nice as it handled the occasional gust with little more than a slight adjustment of the bar. As the gusts would subside, the kite’s low-end pull was nice when working to stay upwind.

Even with lighter bar pressure than I am accustomed to, the kite was very responsive and turned quite fast – a very appealing factor to an aspiring rider. The jumps were very positive once I adjusted to the timing of the kite and felt at ease sending the kite and landing nice lofty jumps. All in all, it was a great ride and I am stoked to get my hands on more of the Naish 2010 kites !” – Sam Perry REAL IT Manager

“This is a kite that can do it all: Upwind, Wakestyle, and Surf. The 2010 Cult feels like a solid combination of the 2009 Helix and Cult! For my first few tacks, looking at the kite it looked like the 2009 Helix, but had similar flying characteristics of the 2009 Cult (sporty, faster, hang time). The big surprise was the ability to load and pop against the kite and have the kite sit slightly deeper in the power. This feature was harder to find on the 2009 Cult. I was also amazed at how easy it was to send the kite the edge of the wind window which is a great feature for someone who doesn't need the extra pull. This kite is a TRIPLE THREAT! It has the capability to go up wind. It can sit slightly deeper to allow wake style riding. And finally it can go downwind and sit even deeper in the power for great performance in the surf. Most kites only have one of these features and not the ability to choose all three!” – Neil Ondrako REAL Kiteboarding Coach

“The new 2010 NAISH gear is insane this year. The Cult has had a major makeover with direct trailing edge attachment. The new 2010 Naish Momentum Kiteboard is more of a wake shaped board this year with more rocker then any other board in the line up. I had a great first session on the new 2010 gear. We took out the 82 foot John Wayne Cancer Foundation Slider and the kite and board made my session! A very stable kite and the positive feel of the board allowed for insane presses on the JWCF rail. Even if you’re not pressing an 82 foot rail, it’s this confidence the new 2010 gear gives you that will help you learn any new maneuver you are working on! Get your hands on this gear and take it for a spin.” – Sam Bell REAL and Naish International Team Rider
